Volunteer

Are you interested in environmental volunteering and giving back to nature? Friends of Sassafras Creek would love to hear from you.

We currently have a weekday working bee (usually running fortnightly on a Wednesday) and a weekend working bee (usually running once a month on Sunday mornings). No experience is needed, just enthusiasm for maintaining and protecting the gorgeous Sassafras Creek Nature Conservation Reserve (near Kallista, Olinda, Sassafras, Monbulk and Sherbrooke).

Working bee activities include:

• Tree planting

• Weeding and weed mapping

• Plant and animal monitoring

• Seed collection and plant propagation
